Oh, bless you, how beautiful. I will listen to them all, but for now, I am listening to Ticha Noc; my mama used to sing that, and it is the only Christmas carol I know in Czech! That made my day!

    Hi Nola!

I am glad you like the post. Ticha noc is definetely on my top 3 list too. I also like a lot “narodil se kristus pan” and “jak jsi krasne nevinatko” 🙂

Wow, thank you for posting. I will listen to them later, for some reason I am not able to listen to them on my laptop at work. I’ll try again later at home. How special that you were able to upload them onto your website. Thank you Tanja 🙂

You know, I just read the words of “Ticha noc” and they are totally different from the English translation! How crazy is that! I have always thought that they are very similar…both versions are beautiful though…just reading those words brings peace into my mind 🙂

Hope you can download them at home Michaela!

Tanja, what a wonderful post! Martin likes to listen to some of his grandparents’ old Czech records. Now he’ll have this, too. Thank you!

When I first found this and listened to carols I sang as a child, I wept. Haven’t heard them sung in years, although had sheet music. God Bless you for
preserving wonderful memories from the past.
