The New York Times travel blogger Alexander Lobrano happened to research the beauties of Slovakia, namely the magnificent Tatras. By vividly describing his visit to Kosice, Presov and Strbske Pleso, Lobrano got me excited about visiting – at one time – the eastern part of my homeland.
As one of Lobrano’s Czech friends said: “The Tatras are the most beautiful place in Europe……The Alps are like an old man’s teeth. The Tatras are sharp, intense and wild,”.
Isn’t that the truth!

CZ: New York Times bloger Alexander Lobrano nedavno procestoval znacnou cast Slovenska – Kosice, Presov a Strbske Pleso (Tatry). Varuji vas, jeho nadseni zejmena z Tater je velmi nakazlive! Hned bych se tam rozjela. Navstivila jsem je v zivote pouze jednou a to kdyz jsem byla mala holka a Tatry byly soucasti me rodne zeme (vzlyk, vzlyk).
Lobranuv cesky kamarad vtipne popisuje Tatry takto: “Tatry jsou ty nejkrasnejsi hory v Evrope…..Alpy vypadaji jako zuby starce, ale Tatry jsou ostre, divoke a vasnive,”. Velmi hezky to vystihl.
