Dark Star, here we come! / Tmava hvezdo, uz za tebou pelasime!

I meet a bunch of very interesting people through this blog. Just the other day I was contacted by Jan Hanzal who lives in the Czech Republic. Does that name sound familiar? No? How about if I mention the names of some great Czech movies like “Tri veterani“, “Slavnosti snezenek“, or “Prazska petka“??? Do those ring the bell? Well, Jan Hanzal was one of the camera men who shot those movies! Isn’t that cool??

Anyhow, ever since 1991 Jan has been working on his own projects, one of which is also an exciting multimedia historical project called “The Dark Star Quest“. Please read this introduction and make sure that you send it to other people who you think would be interested in it!

‘ The preparations for multimedia project “The Dark Star Quest” begun in May 2008, following the steps of the historical messengers sent out by Czech king Jiri of Podebrady in 1465. Roughly forty quest members, lead by Sir Lev of Rozmital and of Blatna, had the task to visit and gain the approval of the European Christian monarchs and rulers to begin the creation of the European Community. The proposed concept of this remarkable and futuristic idea can be considered as the image model of our current European Union.

On November 25, 1465 the Quest began its journey from part of Prague and from part of Blatna castle, across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, England, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Austria to return to Czech the spring of 1467.

Based on the preserved travel journals, particularly from the pen of Vaclav Sasek of Birkov, is clear that this often very exciting and dangerous quest was with some exceptions highly honored. The task to represent the Czech crown in the cultural and community field has been overall very successful.

Our project “The Dark Star Quest”, similar to its historical example, has the aspiration to reach many goals. The main being the capture of the artistic documentations portraying the current look of the European land and the culture filled lives of its people following the trails taken by the messengers of the king Jiri of Podebrady. In addition to the project’s goals the promotion of Czech Republic and creation of new contacts and friendships goes along with it….(read more here).’

CZ:Ja vam poznam tolik zajimavych lidi diky Czechmate Diary – to je neuveritelne! Zrovna pred par dny me zkontaktoval pan Jan Hanzal. Rikate, ze vam to jmeno nic nerika? A co treba kdyz vam pripomenu jmena veleznamych ceskych filmu jako jsou “Tri veterani”, “Slavnosti snezenek” nebo “Prazska petka”?? Uz vam to neco rika? No, a pan Hanzal pusobil pri nataceni techto filmu na Barandove jako jeden z kameramanu! To je,co?

Od roku 1991 se venuje realizaci svych vlastnich projektu, mezi nimiz je take multimedialni historicky projekt zvany “Vyprava na tmavou hvezdu“. Prectete si prosim tento uvod a poslete vasim kamaradum – jde tady o sireni ceske kultury a historie!

‘ Výprava na Tmavou Hvězdu” je evropský multimediální projekt, jehož základem je expedice po stopách historické výpravy českého šlechtice Lva z Rožmitálu, kterou vykonal v letech 1465 – 1467 na přání českého krále Jiřího z Poděbrad. Hlavním úkolem velkolepého poselstva bylo nejen ukázat české země, jako věrohodné a vysoce kulturní s rytířskými mravy, ale mělo též získat evropské vládce pro úžasně nadčasovou, dokonale propracovanou myšlenku o vytvoření evropského mírového společenství, které mělo být jakýmsi předobrazem současné Evropské Unie.

Část výpravy vyrazila z Prahy, část z blatenského hradu 26. listopadu 1465, přes Německo, Nizozemsko, Belgii, Anglii, Francii, Portugalsko, Španělsko, Itálii, Slovinsko a Rakousko, aby se na jaře roku 1467 navrátila do Čech.

Z dochovaných cestopisů, obzvláště z pera Václava Šaška z Bířkova, je zřejmé, že tato často velice dobrodružná a nebezpečná výprava byla všude až na výjimky přijímána s významnými poctami a svůj úkol reprezentovat českou korunu na poli kulturním a společenském splnila velice úspěšně.

Projekt „Výprava na Tmavou Hvězdu”, stejně jako jeho historická předloha, má ambice dosáhnout několika cílů, z nichž hlavním je pochopitelně natočení uměleckých dokumentů, které zachytí současnou tvář evropské krajiny a kulturně-společenský život jejích obyvatel v místech, kudy se ubíralo poselstvo krále Jiřího z Poděbrad. Současně bude jeho posláním i propagace krásy krajiny české republiky a kreativity jejích obyvatel….(cely clanek si prectete zde).’

PS: Take se na Honzovych webovkach nezapomente mrknout na”Cesty Třetího Věku” (v kapitole – ostatní). O tomto projektu se pan Hanzavl vyjadruje takto: “Nejsem nejmladší a byl jsem vážně nemocný několik let a slíbil jsem si, že jestli se uzdravím, tak udělám pouť do Santiaga de Compostela, Fátimy, Montserrat, Mariazell a dalších, natočím z toho filmy a dám je lidem, kteří se již na takovou pouť ze zdravotních, nebo sociálních důvodů nemohou vypravit, i když by chtěli”…no proste krasa.
