I have got such an EXCITING news to tell you! Because of Czechmate Diary I was invited to the embassy of the Czech Republic to join a reception with the president of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus himself!!!!! Can you believe it?? I still can’t. The reception is held in honor of not only the Czech president himself but also because of the celebration of the National Czech Day as well as the 20th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
I am so excited! I have never been to Washington DC, so my husband and I will make a little vacation out of it. I will be taking my laptop with me and updating you frequently on this exciting journey. Please pray for me that I don’t do something embarrassing while meeting the president! I already know that I am going to get red as a strawberry and sweat profusely I just don’t want to spit on him out of excitement or something. Check out the invitation that I have received:

This is so nice to see your enthusiasm recognized. Congratulations, Tanja. Just remember, the Czech Republic could get no finer cheerleader and the President didn’t get to be the President by ever making anyone feel uncomfortable. It’s great to see good people get appreciated. Well done.

PS: Lenka, I think the ambassador of the Czech Republic stands for Mr. Kolar and then they add that his wife (Mrs. Kolar) is going to be there too…that’s how I understand it.

I will definitely take some pictures (and Jitka will help me:). But to tell you the truth, I don’t even think that I will be able to meet him personally – I sure HOPE SO!!! That way I will stuff his hands with couple of hundreds of my Czechmate Diary business cards :)) (boy, will he be excited, right??).

Klaus sice neni muj typ (velice mirne receno), ale urcite ta recepce bude zajimava a potkas tam hodne zajimavych lidi. Hlavne vsem lidem okolo rozdavej business card s logem tveho blogu… Budes mit vice ctenaru a ja budu mit vice lidi s kym se budu moci hadat 🙂 A teple se oblec, v New Jersey je zima a Washington DC neni od nas daleko…
