Czech radio station in Chicago is in danger of extinction / Ceske vysilani v Chicagu je v nebezpeci zaniku

krajane.cz imageCzech radio broadcasting has been going on in Chicago for about 50 years now. Vladimir “Jerry” Jirak has been in charge of it for the last 18 years. Although the passion for Czech culture is definitely there, Jerry is making one big mistake: he refuses to play rock music! We play something for everyone; mostly folk music, polkas, tango, sometimes even something more modern, but we never play rock music.” If he doesn’t change his attitude toward the contemporary music it is quite possible that his audience will die off and there will be no one to listen to him anymore.

Ceske rozhlasove vysilani existuje v Chicagu jiz kolem 50-ti let.

Cely rozhovor s Jerry Jirakem si muzete precist zde.
