Canada: Slovaks are visa-free! / Kanada: Slovaci jiz nepotrebuji cestovni viza!

The Canadian minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Diane Finley, confirmed on March 1st that following countries no longer need temporary resident visa to visit Canada:

• Slovakia
• Poland
• Lithuania
• Hungary

According to Finley herself , “Canada enjoys strong ties with these countries”. The visa requirement was last year also lifted on travelers from the Czech Republic. Including the March announcement all of the 27 EU countries are visa-free except the 2 “black sheep”, Bulgaria and Romania. According the Canada News Center, those sheep are soon to become part of the white-colored herd as well.

Podle Finleyove “ma Kanada s temito zememi velmi pevne a pratelske vztahy”. Potreba cestovniho viza byla take zrusena pro Ceskou republiku a to minuly rok. Po tomto breznovem oznameni maji tedy vsechny zeme Evropske unie (27 zemi) – krome Bulharska a Rumunska – bezvizovy status. Tyto dve zbyvajici “cerne ovce” jsou pry ale ve “vybelovacim” procesu a brzy se stanou soucasti stada ovcich bilych.
