The best places to hang out in Czech / Nejlepsi kavarny a bary v Cechach

Prague itself has about million coffee shops and and another million of bars and the numbers are growing every day. How do you know which one of these places is worth visiting? In case you are wondering the same question, the Czech Bar Awards for 2009 should make the choice easier for you. Within the last 6 months about 2,030 Czechs voted on-line or via text messaging on their favorite hang out and beer-drinking spot. Here are the results:

The best coffee shop: Cafe Savoy (Parizska Street,Prague)
The best pub: Potrefena Husa Na Verandach (Prague)
The best bar as far as interior design goes: Coctail Bar Zluta ponorka (Ceske Budejovice)

“The Czech Republic is opening up more and more bars these days, it’s starting to be quite an interesting scene here. But we still cannot be compared to the “bar kings” like Britain or Germany…”, says one of the judges.

I am quite sure I have been to Cafe Savoy and liked it a lot; the other winning places I have not been to (yet!). So far here is MY list of favorite places to hang out when I am in Prague:

CZ: Jestlize uz v Cechach dlouhou dobu nezijete, tak asi zapasite s tim samym, co ja. Ktere nove kavarnicky stoji za to vubec navstivit? V Praze samotne je jich asi deset milionu, je tedy dosti obtizne vybrat si tu pravou. Nasla jsem ale reseni: Ceska Republika zrovna vyhlasila viteze ankety “Nejlepsiho baru/kavarnicky na rok 2009“, pro kterou hlasovalo za poslednich 6 mesicu 2,030 lidi, a to prostrednictvim internetu nebo textovych zprav. A vitezi jsou:

Nejlepsi kavarna: Cafe Savoy (Parizska Ulice, Praha)
Nejlepsi pivnice: Potrefena Husa Na Verandach (Praha)
Nejkrasnejsi interier: Coctail Bar Zluta ponorka (Ceske Budejovice)

“Ceska barova scena se o hodne zlepsila.Otevira se stale vice baru a zacina to tu byt zajimavejsi. Porad se ale poctem kvalitnich baru nemuzeme vyrovnat Nemecku nebo Britanii.”, komentuje jeden z porodcu.

Jestli si dobre pamatuji, tak jsem ze vsech vitezu navstivila pouze kavarnu Savoy a stalo to za to. Tady je list mych oblibenych mist na posezeni (Praha):
