The Museum of Curiosities in Pelhrimov is quite the happening place these days. The 29-year old fakir, Petr Fiedor is planning on overcoming his past record of laying on hundreds of glass shards for 72 hours (His record from the year of 2000). This time he is hoping to lay unharmed on his “comfy” bed for 10 days. For 8 out of those torturous days (literally) is Peter going to be kept alive and well only via the means of IV – no food or drinks allowed. And why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone (or 2 flies with 1 swap, as the Czechs say) and make it a scientific experiment as well? This whole procedure will be closely watched by the number of Czech scientists as an experiment of how the human body reacts under extreme conditions. He will however be able to take phone calls so if you would like to talk to him and raise his spirits, his private line is 608-302-892. Only watch out, Peter may be a little testy since he hasn’t eaten for days!

Petr comes originally from Tabor. As a son of a professional fencer, Peter has always had the thing for crazy and dangerous things. He started as a stunt man, later “upgraded” to a fakir position. In 2003 Peter created yet another record where, while lying on glass shards, Peter’s body was walked on by 8,694 people!

CZ: V Pelhrimovskem museu rekordu a kuriozit je touto dobou velmi rusno. 29-ti lety fakir Petr Fiedor z Prahy se chysta prekrocit svuj posledni fakirsky rekord z roku 2000, kde lezel na strepech cele 3 dny. Tentokrat se snazi takto “ulehnout” po dobu 10-ti dnu, kde 8 z techto 10-ti dnu bude napojen na pristroje, “za jejichz pomoci budou vedci zkoumat odolnost lidskeho organismu v extremnich podminkach”. Petr ale bude moci po celou dobu sveho pobytu v Pelhrimovskem muzeu brat telefonaty, tak jestli se nebojite, ze vam hladovy a ziznivy Petr pres telefon ukousne hlavu, tak mu brnknete: telefoni cislo je 608-302-892. Petr se narodil v Tabore, a to do rodiny profesionalnich sermaru. Jiz od utleho mladi se mu zamlouvaly veci nebezpecneho razu, a proto se zacal zivit kaskaderstvim a pozdeji se povysil na nynejsi pozici fakira. Mimo jine Petrovi blaznive rekordy, v roce 2003 pres jeho telo lezici na ostrych predmetech preslo 8694 lidi!
