Comrades always had it good…/ Soudruzi to vzdycky meli dobre..

The communist era in the Czech Republic ended almost 20 years ago, yet the country seems still quite unsettled about this issue. Many political groups keep “acting out” for the public to pay more attention to this unresolved issue. A lot of people are angry because the individuals who went over to the “dark side” and joined the party during communism had much easier life back then: they could travel, had better jobs, their kids were allowed to attend universities…..After the Velvet Revolution their wonderful lives have not really changed. The former comrades can now still travel, have great jobs, and their kids are getting a great education. It doesn’t sound very fair, does it? You can read more about this topic here.

CZ:Ceskoslovenska Socialisticka Republika zmizela z mapy sveta pred 19-ti lety ale Ceska republika s komunismem bojuje do dnes. Komunisticka strana je stale soucasti parlamentu, jako by se nechumelilo. Kazdym rokem prijima nove “nadejne” soudruhy a planuje, jak skonat demokracii a kapitalismus. Mnoho byvalich soudruhu – zradcu – take stale vesele beha po svobode, aniz by byli potrestani za jakekoliv zlomyslne ciny, ktere v minulosti spachali.
