Czechs live organic now / Cesi se stavaji bionarodem

The Czechs start to fancy the organic foods and I am not just talking about the basic stuff such as meat, eggs or the vegetables but also the so-called bio-wine, bio-beer and bio-bread! They have spent this year 49% of their grocery money on organic food which equals to 760 million Czech crowns. This amount should increase to 3.2 milliard Czech crowns by the year 2011. The Czech Republic is therefore becoming the “star child” when it comes to ecology. Compared to other EU countries, the amount of its organically-worked land is far above the EU average, equaling about 7.2% of the total amount of the agricultural land. And that’s not all! The Czech people are also aquaiting themselves quite rapidly with other natural products such as clothing and cosmetics. Not just because it is good for their health but also to show the world their pro-nature attitude.

I say first things first: let’s stop smoking two packs a day and then we can really enjoy that organic potato salad!

Cesi tento rok utratili o 49% za biopotraviny oproti minulemu roku a to celych 760 milionu korun. Tato castka se ma do roku 2011 zvysit na 3,2 miliardy korun. Cesko se tedy v Evrope stava jakousi hvezdou, co se tyce ekologie. Tato zeme se muze pysne vytahovat, ze ma v ramci EU nadprumerny podil ekologicky obhospodarovane zemedelske pudy – kolem 7,2%.

Cesi si take zacinaji blibovat biotextil a biokosmetiku a to nejen ze to je pro ne zdrave, ale zacina to byt jejich zivotni/politicky nazor.

Ja si rikam, ze ty priority mame nejak prevracene: nejdrive bychom meli zahodit tu krabicku cigaret a pak si muzeme opravdu pochutnat na bio-rohliku!
