Going Czech full-time / Cech na plny uvazek

Have you ever wondered what it is to have a position of a full-time Czech? Steve Ourecky is a prime example. Not only he took over the about-to-be-extinct newspaper called Czech Slavnosti and produces a fine piece of real (!!) newspaper bimonthly (i.e. lot of writing), but he is present at just about any Czech-related event in the Midwest! You don’t believe me? Read this:

Now do you see, what I mean??

I am sorry, the resolution of the image is not very good but you can read this article – and all the other articles – on his website www.czechslavnosti.com

If you wonder about upcoming Czech events in Midwest, here is Steve’s wonderful calendar:

CZ: Jestlize neznate Cesko-Americke noviny The Czech Slavnosti, tak je na case se s nimi, jako spravny vlastenec, seznamit. Od bidne smrti je zachranil statecny rytir Steve Ourecky, ktery nejen ze vydava noviny dvakrat do mesice, ale take cestuje za kazdym ceskym festivalem, ktery v Midwestu existuje (a ze jich tam je!).

If you liked this post buy me a coffee! (Suggested:$3 a latte $8 for a pound) Thanks!

Stephen is a great guy. But he is just not limited to the midwest. We’ve managed to get him down to Texas the last couple of years at WestFest. I have met a lot of people at Czech Events across the state, but I must say Stephen has been one of my favorites to meet.
